What the heck is this? What a system do you have, what is
your locale, your iconv lib?

Hi Volker,
hmmm... good question!
The machine running samba is a small NAS
(http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/NSLU2) running SlugOS BE
(http://www.nslu2-linux.org/wiki/SlugOS/SlugOSBE).
It seems there's no locale available from my novice point of view:
[EMAIL PROTECTED]:~$ locale
-sh: locale: not found
[EMAIL PROTECTED]:~$ find / -name "*locale*"
/opt/share/locale
[EMAIL PROTECTED]:~$ ls /opt/share/locale
cs es it ko nn pt_BR sv zh_CN
de fr ja nb pl ru tr zh_TW
[EMAIL PROTECTED]:~$ find / -name "*iconv*"
/opt/lib/slang/v2/modules/iconv-module.so
/opt/share/slsh/iconv.sl
Any idea how to find out more?
Kind Regards,
Michael
Found this
http://www.nslu2-linux.org/wiki/HowTo/UseInternationalCharactersOnOpenSlug
Will try this tomorrow and let you know if the original problem is still
there. However, there was no problem with the old samba version 3.0.*
Kind Regards, Michael
