Sure. But in this way i will change only the POSIX password and
expiration data, leaving samba data untouched.

Ok, i can load a specific overlay like:

        http://www.openldap.org/doc/admin24/appendix-contrib.html#smbk5pwd

as sebastien suggest, but this is not an option to me because i will
have to upgrade openldap to 2.4, and now i cant.


I've forgot to say that if i do a 'minimal' smb.conf configuration and
run smbpasswd on the client, i can change the password with no trouble
at all.

There's no a pam module that do what smbpasswd do?
