Sorry, no solution here, but I have same problem, I am awaiting 5.3 in hope that it is solved by default.

I have a few problems that need to be resolved before I commit completely to Sambar and this is one too.

I have about 200 mails a day coming in and life would be breezy if I could throttle SMTP, I think that the problem would go away.

I should add, if I stop sambar, then restart it, things go back to working.

While everything has been running smoothly, I joined the wireless isp list which has a HUGE volume of email. 3-500 messages a day at least I'd say.

I just unsubscribed because after running that kind of volume plus my other mail services, when you'd go to check your mail, sambar would get stuck either on "connecting" or authorizing. The log shows the connection times out.

This is on a 128k isdn connection. (Two more weeks before t1 is installed)

Have you suggestions?  machine is a 1.8ghz with a gig of ram etc..

I turned off loggin of most mail stuff. Is the speed of connection the problem?  Machine not closing connections?  Where to look?
