Hello there, just upgraded 9.10 to 10.04 and I am again battling with the backlight/brightness issue.
I have tried the usual xrandr --output LVDS --set BACKLIGHT 102 --set BACKLIGHT_CONTROL legacy installed backlight key-binded the xbacklight inc/dec 10 through compiz commands... but no use :( . I can add the backlight applet to the gnome panel, but it won't work. I can use the slider but it does not affect the brightness. Any ideas?
