Re: Proposed Sandesha2 Hackathon
Hi Paul,
I'm planning to come along, and I'm sure a couple of the other IBM people
will be along too. It'll be good to see people face to face.
I think that we should get the outline of an agenda on-list before we
start, so that we can come in with a few ideas. At the least, we can
decide which of these issues to prioritise, and which to continue
discussion on-list. Some basic thoughts, all of which apply to the current
level of function:
- Code organisation and build
- Tidyup work
- Performance
- Project documentation / website
- User documentation and getting started
Beyond that, we need a roadmap for the project. Are we in maintenance
mode, or do we have new functional goals? I think that we need to do
enough on the performance front that it's worth having a specific target
for that. WS-i RSP is bound to generate some code changes too.
Finally, we really should make better use of the mailing list and Jira, so
that we avoid duplicating work and can move towards common goals.
Is this the sort of stuff you were expecting?
