Hi, The Canon Maxify MB 2700 series is not listed and MB2000 is listed as untested, tester needed.
I have tried to install this scanner (printer working via USB and via Wireless print) under Ubuntu 16.04 64 bit, but it does not work. I followed the Ubuntu help: https://help.ubuntu.com/community/sane This is copy/paste from my terminal - I am not a programmer, just a very basic user. Willing to test, but I need copy/paste comands :-) Jean user@Savannah:~$ apt-get install sane sane-utils libsane-extras xsane E: Could not open lock file /var/lib/dpkg/lock-frontend - open (13: Permission denied) E: Unable to acquire the dpkg frontend lock (/var/lib/dpkg/lock-frontend), are you root? user@Savannah:~$ sudo su [sudo] password for user: root@Savannah:/home/user# apt-get install sane sane-utils libsane-extras xsane Reading package lists...
