It's with the ix1500's not 500. I also have an ix100 that works fine. So for example /usr/local/bin/scanimage --mode=gray —contrast=20 —brightness=20 --format=tiff --ald=yes --device-name=fujitsu:ScanSnap\ iX1500:94839 --resolution=200 --batch=Scan-Designer-TAWS27-144246-%d.tif Looks exactly the same as /usr/local/bin/scanimage --mode=gray —contrast=-40 —brightness=0 --format=tiff --ald=yes --device-name=fujitsu:ScanSnap\ iX1500:94839 --resolution=200 --batch=Scan-Designer-TAWS27-144246-%d.tif
Note this is with 1.0.28, where I've added this model to fujitsu.conf.
