This scanner is not known to work with sane-backends-1.0.29. However, for scans via a network connection, it might work via the escl backend. Alternatively, you could use the separately maintained airscan backend, available at
According to spec, this scanner doesn't support eSCL. Apple also doesn't list it on its compatibility list.
