Hi, My LiDE 400 is working with recent SANE version 1.0.30-914-g8bdd27d14. You need at lease SANE version 1.0.28.
Please check your installed SANE version with 'scanimage -V'. This scanner has problems working via USB hosts. You need to connect it directly to your computer. And I can scan via USB3. But it's not faster than USB2. It's still connected as USB2 device. Hopr this helps.
