Hi Marco,
To scan them, I advise you to disable the backend that you do not use
lists the scanners and backends that support them
$ scanimage -L
At the moment, scanimage gives this output:
#> scanimage -L
device `escl:http://127.0.0.1:60001' is a Epson XP-4100 Series (USB 1)
flatbed scanner
device
`imagescan:esci:usb:/sys/devices/pci0000:00/0000:00:12.2/usb1/1-6/1-6:1.0'
is a EPSON XP-4100_Series
To disable a backend, you just have to comment it in the file
/etc/sane.d/dll.conf or in the folder /etc/sane.d/dll.d/xxxx
in dll.conf the only related lines are these:
#epson
epson2
epsonds
escl
and this is the content of dll.d:
#####################################################################
#> ls -l /etc/sane.d/dll.d/
total 8
-rw-r--r-- 1 root root 38 apr 1 2020 hplip
-rw-r--r-- 1 root root 44 gen 22 2020 imagescan
#> ls -l /etc/sane.d/dll.d/imagescan
-rw-r--r-- 1 root root 44 gen 22 2020 /etc/sane.d/dll.d/imagescan
#> more !$
more /etc/sane.d/dll.d/imagescan
# imagescan -- dll.conf snippet
imagescan
#>
#####################################################################
is there any fast/best way to figure out what I should comment, or
should I just go with trial and error?
Hi Marco,
To comment this driver you add '#' before 'escl', in the file
'/etc/sane.d/dll.conf'.
device `escl:http://127.0.0.1:60001' is a Epson XP-4100 Series (USB 1)
flatbed scanner
To comment this driver you add '#' before 'imagescan', in the file
'/etc/sane.d/dll.d/imagescan'.
device
`imagescan:esci:usb:/sys/devices/pci0000:00/0000:00:12.2/usb1/1-6/1-6:1.0'
is a EPSON XP-4100_Series
Thierry
Thanks,
Marco
