I run an Epson XP-7100 device and xsane gives me this message when
acquiring a preview scan:
"Failed to set value of option x-resolution: Invalid argument".
What could cause this message? Scanning still works.

Is br-x br-y meant to be dpi settings or pixel?

This problem is due to the management of xsane resolution and has been
corrected by @skelband in
