For me, scanning from the flatbed over USB is enough.
Stupid question, but do you mean the "Wi-Fi direct" feature, or network
scanning through Ethernet/Wi-Fi? In the previous logs the scanner was
connected to the home network through Ethernet, so I can confirm that it
is not being detected that way.
I'd rather not mess with the network configuration of the device at the
moment, because the last time I did, it broke some of the Windows
drivers of the other machines that need access to this printer/scanner :)

I confirm, the pixma driver does not support this device in network.
I know that the device works, I don't have more information. After the
operation of his device the user has not given any more news 🤣
If you give us a feedback, it would be great!

Hello everyone! PIXMA TS9500 Series has status "Untested",
"Testers needed!" and I own a Canon PIXMA TS9550 printer, so I
thought I'd do a quick test. I installed SANE backend pixma on
my Gentoo machine and I could successfully perform scans in
different resolutions over USB. Please see the attached .txt
file for additional details. Please let me know if you need
more details/further testing for this model. Greetings, lolock
Always great to see successful reports, so thanks!
I see from the log that ADF scanning was a bust.
Unfortunately that is a common experience. There are some variations in
how ADF scanning works in the protocol.
Some inexplicably return JPEG data when scanning from ADF rather than
raster data and there are sensor settings to determine paper presence etc.
We might need to get some diag from the pixma backend if you wish to
pursue that.
Nice clean scans from the flatbed is nice to see.
Perhaps open an issue at
https://gitlab.com/sane-project/backends/-/issues
<https://gitlab.com/sane-project/backends/-/issues> and we can log more
easily track progress for this machine.
Did you try network access at all? I understand that some Canon machines
are not using the pixma protocol for wireless access these days.

Ralph
