Hi Klaas, you just got a free upgrade from a Perfection 1650 to a GT-8200... The reason for this is that EPSON stopped shipping the scanners with different firmware versions depending on where the scanner was sold. In the past you could actually buy a scanner that reported itself as a Perfection 1200, and a GT-7600 that reported this name. This probably got too expensive, so now they just change the label on the scanner and use the Japanese name internally. The GT-xxxx scanners are marketed in the Asian region, the Perfections in all other regions. Usually you don't see this internal name (that is because most people are using the Win or Mac drivers), but because we are using just one backend for all EPSON scanners an not one driver for one specific device, the GT-xxxx shows up on the user interface. So this is just a cosmetic issue.=20 The missing entry in epson.[ch] is my fault. I did report the new IDs to David Nelson, so that they are now included in the kernel code, but missed to update my own code.=20 I can send you a patch, let me know if you need one.
