Ondrejov, 6.11.2001 Hi all
I would like to ask, whether there is any progress with the hp7400c (with Avision chipset) to be supported by sane. The last trace I found is an email from Luc Lalonde, who describes that he's able to see the scanner in scsi listing (like me) like this: [root@samson ~]# cat /proc/scsi/scsi Attached devices: Host: scsi0 Channel: 00 Id: 00 Lun: 00 Vendor: YAMAHA Model: CRW8824E Rev: 1.00 Type: CD-ROM ANSI SCSI revision: 02 Host: scsi0 Channel: 00 Id: 01 Lun: 00 Vendor: MITSUMI Model: CD-ROM FX120T !B Rev: b03 Type: CD-ROM ANSI SCSI revision: 02 Host: scsi1 Channel: 00 Id: 00 Lun: 00 Vendor: hp Model: scanjet 7400c Rev: 0.8A Type: Scanner ANSI SCSI revision: 02 using the hpusbscsi module. I'm also able to see the scanner with scanimage -L (independently found the HP/hp problem described by Luc) [root@samson ~]# scanimage -L device `avision:/dev/scsi/host1/bus0/target0/lun0/generic' is a hp scanjet 7400c flatbed scanner The scanner just freezes at start_scan when I run scanimage. Thank you. mates -- Martin JelĂnek <[email protected]>, http://sirrah.troja.mff.cuni.cz/~mates/ Astronomical Institute of the Czech Academy of Sciences, Ondrejov
