The scanner will work. You will however have to add a few configuration entries in two files: Add the following line to /etc/modules.conf: options scanner vendor=3D0x4b8 product=3D0x11e Edit the file /etc/hotplug/usb.distmap and look for a line=20 containing the string "4b8" and that starts with the string "scanner". Copy this line and replace the number after 0x04b8 with 0x011e (this is your product ID). The line should start like this: scanner 0x0003 0x04b1 0x011e 0x0000 0x0000 0x= 00 This should do the trick.
