I have installed and configured the software according with the instructions, but I can not get the scanner to transmit images.
xsane tells me: NO DEVICES AVAILABLE scanimage --test says: scanimage: no SANE devices found When I do "ptal-hp mlc:par:0 device", i get this: Model name: PSC 500 Model number: (unavailable) Serial number: SGH01E16Z8WZ Firmware version: MRE.1 release 19990906 Firmware datecode: (unavailable) Total RAM size: 1048576 bytes Which means that somehow I do have connectivity with the scanner. Also, when I do ptal-connect mlc:par:0 -scan The scanner moves a bit, but does not do anything. I have to press CTRL+C after a while to get to the console. Mi conf looks like this: --dll.conf-- net hp --hp.conf-- mlc:par:0 option connect-ptal What am I missing ? HELP !!!!!!!!!! Thank you Julian
