I am having problems with sane and my Acer 4300U. I can find the device with sane-find-scanner and the vendor/product id's exist in the snapscan.conf file but when I try to use the scanner, I get the following:
Failed to open device: snapscan:/dev/usb/scanner0 and (at the console): [snapscan] Implementation error: Driver name not found [snapscan] download_firmware: No firmware entry found in config file snapscan.conf. But clearly it all there. Here is a debug: --- [sanei_debug] Setting debug level of snapscan to 255.
