Hello! I type all you said me to run my usb scanner Acer 3300, but doesn't work. I wrote in the snapscan.conf the firmware get from "cat /proc/bus/usb/devices", but I notice a problem because my scanner is FlatbetScanner22 and USB_ID is 0x04a5 0x20b0, but in the vendor table from Sane that USB_ID is from FlatbetScanner23, and the file I need (u176v067.bin) then I cann't found in my Benq cd-rom. Then I wrote in the snapscan.conf the file *.bin needed to USB_ID for FlatbetScanner 22, the u222v067.bin. The scanner is detected but doesn't work, seems to be hung for a moments and after close the windows that was detecting the scanner. How I can solve this problem?, because it seems to be not a problem for win. I read the Sane page, but is to much for me add a perl scripts (acerfirm), I don't know how to do that. I hope you can help me again. All that looks like a soup-opera...and I'm not an expert. Bye Juan Carlos
