The logs look ok now - the scanner is detected, the firmware is=20 loaded, but the scanner is not correctly recognized afterwards (as=20 expected). It then hangs during calibration (which is not surprising,=20 since quality calibration doesn't work for epson scanners and is=20 disabled if an epson scanner is correctly identified). This causes=20 the scanner to hang and leads to the kernel error messages you're=20 seeing.=20 Once the scanner is correctly recognized the kernel error messages=20 should disappear. What bothers me is that the scanner is accessed at all, although it is=20 not recognized. Maybe you found a hidden backend bug :) /Oliver =2D----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.2.2-rc1-SuSE (GNU/Linux) iD8DBQFBK3Rl/V6sbrmfIuMRAjsJAJ9tn6gKf6L7G8ELrqPttDGoAN0p7QCfXD5A KHb8hrk2mSHVweEfFrVoeSQ=3D =3DYwzW =2D----END PGP SIGNATURE-----
