looks slightly different from the other fujitsu usb scanners, but not enough info there to tell. will need a log afterall.
1st, get the scanner working on windows. get latest drivers, do some tests at different colors and resolutions. then, get sniffusb from http://benoit.papillault.free.fr/usbsnoop/doc.en.php and follow the directions on that page for installation and selection of device to monitor. then, with the logger running, plug in the scanner usb cable, do a small (10cm X 10cm) black and white scan, and unplug the scanner usb cable. zip the log and send it to me directly if it is under a couple megs. otherwise, find some web site to put it on, and send me the link. allan On Tue, 27 Apr 2004, Pablo Yaggi wrote: > -----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- > Hash: SHA1 > > Allan, here is the lsusb -v output, i can install it in a win xp, what do you > want me to do after that, i don't know how to log anything on win. > > > Bus 002 Device 001: ID 0000:0000 > Device Descriptor: > bLength 18 > bDescriptorType 1 > bcdUSB 1.10 > bDeviceClass 9 Hub > bDeviceSubClass 0 > bDeviceProtocol 0 > bMaxPacketSize0 8 > idVendor 0x0000 > idProduct 0x0000 > bcdDevice 2.06 > iManufacturer 3 Linux 2.6.3-7mdkenterprise uhci_hcd > iProduct 2 UHCI Host Controller > iSerial 1 0000:00:07.3 > bNumConfigurations 1 > Configuration Descriptor: > bLength 9 > bDescriptorType 2 > wTotalLength 25 > bNumInterfaces 1 > bConfigurationValue 1 > iConfiguration 0 > bmAttributes 0x40 > Self Powered > MaxPower 0mA > Interface Descriptor: > bLength 9 > bDescriptorType 4 > bInterfaceNumber 0 > bAlternateSetting 0 > bNumEndpoints 1 > bInterfaceClass 9 Hub > bInterfaceSubClass 0 > bInterfaceProtocol 0 > iInterface 0 > Endpoint Descriptor: > bLength 7 > bDescriptorType 5 > bEndpointAddress 0x81 EP 1 IN > bmAttributes 3 > Transfer Type Interrupt > Synch Type none > wMaxPacketSize 2 > bInterval 255 > Language IDs: (length=4) > 0409 English(US) > > Bus 001 Device 005: ID 04c5:1033 Fujitsu, Ltd > Language IDs: none (cannot get min. string descriptor;
