Hi, No, I didn't have ECP activated before, but I have now, after your advice and I have naturally rebooted my computer. Only one problem (never ending), see here (consol-mode):
[root] # dmesg | grep parport parport0: PC-style at 0x378 (0x778) [PCSPP,TRISTATE,EPP] parport0: irq 7 detected parport0: Printer, Canon S750 lp0: using parport0 (polling). Why isn't ECP shown above? I have change it in bios ? You have to believe me on that. :-) I dubbelchecked in my bios and I have this value there now : Mode: ECP I/O Adress: 378h DMA Channel: DMA3 But dmesg don't agree, why? Is there something else I must do, like reinstall the Kernel or the parport0 module, is there a module I have forgotten to install or what ? Thank's for all help.
