I'm toying with the idea of attempting to write a backend for my Visioneer Onetouch 8700 Scanner. Anyone else out there interested in this? Sometimes I wonder if it would be worth writing the driver, compared to going down to Costco and picking up a supported scanner for $100. I don't have any usb experience, but I was planning on using a usb sniffer on windows to try to get the protocol down. Anyone have any info/suggestions for this task?
