Look at the output of scanimage -h (which will list
device-specific options). On the plustek backend the relevant
options are -x -y for the size and -l for the left edge (think
the top edge is -t, but don't recall offhand).
I have found that these options do indeed correspond very well
with real-world measurements on the scanner.
