What is wrong with gnulib? This seems very much like spamming a totally
unrelated list to me. If you have issues with autoconf, the list address
is [email protected]. They accept patches at [email protected].

Regarding the Canon MP450, I've just red its .INF file. This file describes 
the family of the scanner as: "TWAIN Scanners".

Can this fact facilitate the reverse engineering process? If so, how?
