I am running a Scanmaker 4800 with the sm3840 driver and I've been able to get almost everything working correctly except the color depth. I need to be able to do black and white scans, not merely grayscale. I know the scanner is capable of handling 1-bit color depth which is also supported by Kooka, but I don't even get the opportunity to select it. I know this is not a problem in Kooka, because XSane and Quiteinsane also have the problem. Is there some configuration file that needs to be setup to allow this option?
