Second update: I'm now running Knoppix LiveCD, and the scanner works just fine with SANE - scanimage, XSane, and xscanimage (which is absent from my main SANE installation) scan to the end without ever jamming. The scanner makes some strange noises which it doesn't in Windows, but it *works*. But since my main OS is FC5, and I (obviously) can't boot from Knoppix everytime, I absolutely have to get SANE to work on Fedora.
Thanks in advance, -Fibo 2006/4/11, Fibonacci Prower <[email protected]>: > > > > 2006/4/11, Gerhard Jaeger <[email protected]>: > > > On Tuesday 11 April 2006 10:14, Fibonacci Prower wrote: > > > Update: I tried with xsane, and... it still jams. (lide 60) Message-ID: <[email protected]> is possible to view the image creating while scanning on the lide 60 driver? I've used Vuescan and does it, it would be very useful for my needs. Another question, if I do B&W scans on sane they don't have much depth instead on Vuescan they have much more greys, is this fixed in the last version of sane? thanks
