Hi Pamcho, You are correct, the perl script driver supports the 1815dn but the SANE dell1600n_net backend does not. This is because I don't have an 1815dn and adding the support to the perl driver was a real pain (as I was unable to test as I went along). For this reason I don't have any imminent plans to go through the same process with the SANE driver.
However for someone with one of these scanners and a little C programming experience then it should be pretty easy (especially since they would have my perl script as an example).
