would both of you please excuse my ignorance, as i primarily deal with ADF machines, but- why does the front-end need to be involved in the movement at all? can the backend not detect the additional slides and move the feeder automatically? perhaps i am not picturing the mechanism correctly... allan -- "The truth is an offense, but not a sin"
