I've an Epson 1000 ICS scanner/printer combo that wasn't detected by the Epson backend. However, I added "usb 0x04b8 0x011a" to /etc/sane.d/epson.conf and it works fairly well! The only issue so far seems to be that the size of the scanned image is much smaller than it should be. (I.E. a full-page scan occupies only 1/4 of the preview window in xsane.)
What can I do to help improve support for this scanner? Will I need to go hack on backends/epson.c?
