Good news, using xsane I could scan an L-size photo and an A4 page in full colour at 300dpi. anything above that works for a short while before being cancelled by the hardware. Is is acceptable to post/email the output file for small scan areas in the hope that this is a simple timing/buffer problem or something? Regards, Gernot
