Actually the issue is that XSane is making gamma tables for a gray scan even though I select a color scan. Consequently, it segfaults when receiving the color data and trying to apply gamma correction with NULL gamma tables. It looks like it's a problem with the preview in XSane. If I try to do a color scan right away (without doing a preview first) and the preview has gray data from a previous gray scan, then XSane goes with a gray gamma table instead of a color one. So, if preview mode != scan mode and you try to scan without doing a preview first -> KABOOM. Oliver, this is XSane 0.996. Otherwise, the backend is working just *FINE* with this device, it's fast, the scans are sharp and all. Great work!
