well said allan, I was successfully able to scan when I used to type in Terminal scanimage.
But the main point was when I ported my code from Fedora 8 machine to 10 the Sane files like Sane.h & Saneopts.h were not found hence I faced errors. When I searched the same files in /usr/include/sane/ I found nothing thats why I posted the same on forum.
