        Hello,

        what version of SANE are you using ? Is there only a few modes that 
don't 
work or the problem is widespread ?
        The exposure message you get is interesting. You may try to get rid of 
it by 
specifying a, 'afe' option in gt68xx.conf :

afe 0x20 0x02 0x22 0x03 0x1f 0x04

        There is also an option to turn off 'quality calibration',  it would be 
interesting to try scanning with it disabled.

        If nothing works, you can send the debug log (compressed) of a sample 
color 
scan produced by the following commands in a shell:

export SANE_DEBUG_GT68XX=255
scanimage -d gt68xx --mode Color 2>gt68xx.log >gt68xx.pnm
