[sane-devel] sane is used by closed source software

I just read that the Sane library software will be used by the closed,
non-free program Vuescan. See the announcement at
http://www.hamrick.com/

So far I know, this is not allowed for GPL Version 2 software, like
Sane. Am I correct?
