I have a couple of HP 8250 ADF scanners. Work nice, but when they get messed up, I have to plug them into a Win box. Then I can use them again. So some initialization and error detection SW is probably missing. Also, things like the duplex page feed doesn't work.
I believe the avision driver is not getting any more development at this time. If you can tell me how to determine the architecture, without pulling them apart, I can do that.
