Hello! Sorry, if I disturb anybody, but I not found the place for bug report.
I have an Umax AstraSlim SE scanner (USB ID 05b8:4009) with Artec48.usb "driver" (it comes from the original Windows driver CD). The scanned images are here : https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/sane-backends/+bug/604013 (one bad with Sane, and one good with Win XP!) I tried with Ubuntu Simplescan, Xsane, Sane Gnome-scan, Debian Kooka etc. without any result.
