I'm glad to hear it works. I've been swamped with work recently, but I'll push
that patch into the repository so everyone can benefit form it.

Thanks for the success report.

I just wanted to say THANK YOU!!! I upgraded my scanning system from Slack
12.1 to 13.37, and the 1.0.22 sane is distributed with 13.37. It fired up
right away, and BOY IS IT NICE TO HAVE DUPLEX working!!!

I did get a crash with transparency collection. I will play with it more.

This work may be in your distant past, but it is greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Thanks to the support of a few testers, especially S. Lipinski, I have been
able to isolate the command sequence which gets the ADF working. Basically,
the driver needs to send a reset command to the scanner, potentially solving
both the initial ADF not working issue and the ADF failure after scanning a few
pages. Although I now know the right sequence to send, I still have to work
through a rather annoying trial and error process of testing. This process is
being tracked in the Alioth bug system.

If you are able to download, patch, compile, and install sane-backends, please
try out patch #5 from the bug, and post the results of the debug log to the bug
system.

This link should take you to the correct bug entry:
