My dll.conf has only the 2 entries "epson2" and "net". The only entry in epson2.conf is "usb 0x04b8 0x010b" since lsusb shows Bus 004 Device 002: ID 04b8:010b Seiko Epson Corp. Perfection 1240 and the content of net.conf is: connect_timeout = 30 localhost 192.168.1.28 Thanks, Michael > On Mon, Dec 26, 2011 at 10:30 AM, Dr. Michael Kaplan > <dr.michaelkaplan at alice-dsl.de> wrote: >> Hi, >> >> I'm using F16 on an AMD64 machine. >> >> I have 2 scanners, a hp in my home network and an epson on the usb port. >> >> sane-find-scanner reports: >> >> found USB scanner (vendor=0x04b8 [EPSON], product=0x010b [Perfection1240]) >> at libusb:004:002 >> >> scanimage -L reports: >> >> device `hpaio:/net/Officejet_6500_E710a-f?zc=HP2CEF9D' is a Hewlett-Packard >> Officejet_6500_E710a-f all-in-one >> >> If I call >> >> xsane epson:libusb:004:002 >> or >> xsane hpaio:/net/Officejet_6500_E710a-f?ip=192.168.1.28 >> >> xsane works fine. >> >> I deleted the .sane-directory in my homedir and created a new one by >> saving options from xsane.
