OK, this is kind of expected. Unfortunately, since it requires chaning code, you can only test this via a local compilation of SANE. This is very simple, if you obtain the code and read the linux README included in the repository. I'll submit a patch on your behalf in the meantime. Regards, Gernot Hassenpflug
