I've run your command. The --resolution=300 one end with : "scanimage: sane_start: Invalid argument" I runs only at 240 dpi. I've the logs, but the 240dpi one is huge (52Mb!)), even bzip2ed : jfs at jones:~/Documents$ ls -lth 2580-1* -rw-r--r-- 1 jfs jfs 7,3M f?v 2 13:19 2580-1-240.log.bz2 -rw-r--r-- 1 jfs jfs 24K f?v 2 13:19 2580-1.log Is it OK for you to send such a large file by email or should I split it / upload somewhere ? If it matter's, I get the same results with backends 1.0.21, 1.0.22, and 1.0.23git (last tests are from July). Plus, here, with a usable resolution, the DR2580C gets all the page content, but it's squeezed on the first 20cm of the scan. The last centimeter of an A4 page is black (recto). On the verso, it's the opposite : the first cm is black, and the page squeezed on the bottom 20cm. I found it strange, but never get the time to report it properly... I can run more tests if you need, the DR2580C is on my desk. Thanks in advance for your help! A+ -- JFS.
