I'have a hp8200 simple flat scanner and happy to work with Squeeze sane
but !
With new sane i'have problem with scanimage:
"open of device avision:libusb:001:002 failed: Operation not supported"
My solution is in avision.c modification at ligne 3221 :
""} else if (result[0] == 0 && result[2] > 1) {""
Because my result[0] = 0 , result[1] = 1 and result[2] = 1.
For Linux and hp8200.
