Before that, xsane and Simple Scan had not connected to my scanner
automaticly on UBUNTU 16.04 (32 Bit)
The command like
sudo chmod a+w /dev/bus/usb/005/004
was needed.
The problem has appeared after upgrading my UBUNTU from 14 to
16.04
On UBUNTU 14 all worked fine.

My scanner CanoScan Lide 220.
The problem -too- has appeared after upgrading my Ubuntu from
