Hi SANOG members,
My name is Omar and I work with APNIC Foundation. We?ve got a new opportunity
for folks in network operations. See below for more information.
The APNIC Foundation is now accepting applications for the 2026 cohort of the
Building Capabilities in the Asia Pacific
(BCAP<https://apnic.foundation/building-capabilities-in-the-asia-pacific/>)
project.
BCAP is a regionally focused capability-building initiative designed to
strengthen the technical and human competencies needed to build, operate, and
sustain Internet and digital infrastructure across the Asia Pacific. We are
inviting Internet professionals and practitioners who are working and are
interested in areas such as network operations, cybersecurity, IT and tech
support, Internet governance, policy, and research to apply.
BCAP builds on previous Foundation projects, of Switch! And Digital Leap South
Asia, evolving into a unified, region-wide capability-building project.
What the program offers
Selected participants will benefit from:
*
Structured training pathways in network ops, cybersecurity and IT/tech support
across beginner, Intermediate, and advanced tracks
*
Access to globally recognised professional certifications in these pathways
*
Online, self-paced learning and exam preparation resources
*
Competency-based digital badges that recognise practical, job-relevant skills
*
Opportunities to connect with peers and become part of the growing APNIC
Foundation alumni community
The 2026 cohort will include 300 participants from across the Asia Pacific. The
project actively encourages applications from underrepresented groups,
including women, youth, rural communities, and least developed countries (LDCs).
