Hi SANOG Community,

Projects that introduce, improve and apply Internet technology for the
benefit of Asia Pacific communities may be eligible for financial
support of up to AUD 30,000 through the ISIF Asia grants program.
But if you are interested, you have to be quick: applications close 31
October 2014.

?The ISIF Asia Grants program presents a great opportunity for local
innovators and entrepreneurs to secure seed or supporting funds for
their projects addressing local and regional issues using Internet
technologies in an innovative way,? said APNIC?s Duncan Macintosh.

Previous grant recipients include an educational video-on-demand system
for a rural hill-tribe village in Thailand; a project to digitalize and
preserve Oro, a secret signage language of the nomadic Penans in the
Malaysian rainforest; and an app and mapping platform to increase
maternal health service accountability for tea garden workers in Assam,
India.

Grants will be provided to project proposals to be implemented in a
period of three to 12 months. Selected projects will commence activities
in February 2015.

The four funding categories are: Innovation on access provision,
Innovation on learning and localization, Code for the common good and
Rights.

Grant allocation is competitive and follows a rigorous selection process.

More information, eligibility criteria and application forms through
available at:

Please spread the word!

Thanks
Sunny
