Any updated insights here ? We are trying to cost effective rj45 based 10g
solution. The current pricing of 10g from artista or Cisco seems to add
like 30-40 percent to the cost of an entry level server.

?Premium? pricing for what is basically a commodity product, I fear. And add
import duties to the mix.
But a lot of it can be picked up on ebay for a fraction of the cost, and
they?re built like tanks so that might be a viable option.
Oh, and for say CPE in small offices you could try the netgear 10G switches?
Wouldn?t quite hold up in a datacenter but for other applications that should
be just fine.
