Hello Everyone,

MANRS (Mutually Agreed Norms for Routing Security) Fellowship Program for
2022 is now accepting applications. If you are an emerging leader eager to
improve the well-being of the Internet?s global routing system, apply now
<https://fellowship.apnic.net/>.

The program gives highly motivated individuals the chance to work alongside
MANRS ambassadors, who are industry leaders participating in the Ambassador
Program. Together, they will train diverse communities on good routing
practices, analyze routing incidents, research into ways to secure routing,
and survey the global policy landscape.

You can apply for a fellowship in three different areas: training,
research, and policy. You can apply for more than one category but will
only be selected for one of them. Applications close on March 18th 2022.

For more information and to apply, visit the programme website. https://www.
manrs.org/ambassadors-programme/fellows/

Regards,

Aftab A. Siddiqui

In our ninth episode, APNIC's Chief Scientist, Geoff Huston, and I chat with
Reliance Jio's Senior Executive Vice President, Mr Nagaraj, who oversees the
design, architecture and engineer of Jio's IP network as well as operational
support.

With more than 420 million mobile users and 260 million cable users, Reliance
Jio has grown to become one of the largest telcos in the world in less than a
decade. How were they able to do this in the age of IPv4 exhaustion? By
deploying IPv6 from the get-go. Mr Nagaraj takes us through the discussions he
had in convincing his management and vendors to go IPv6 and the future of the
Jio network, including working more closely with content providers to bring
content closer to users than before.

You can also read an abbreviated transcript of this discussion on the APNIC
Blog: https://blog.apnic.net/2022/03/03/podcast-taking-ipv6-by-the-horns/
