Thanks Craig, I've attached the patch containing a proposed project structure for the initial code drop.
One glaring omission in the patch is any unit tests. I've never open-sourced the project's unit tests, since nearly all of them depend on my library of test images. I don't own the rights to most of these. They'll be difficult to replace since many of these demonstrate rare edge cases (rarely used format features, common format errors, etc.). Charles.
