tayA = with that (femeinine gender) dhenwA = cow; yA = who (femininne); na =
no, not; dogdhrI = (dugdhAM dadAti iti) who gives milk; garbhiNI = who is
under gestation, pregnant; kiM = what; kriyate = could be done ?
yaH = who (masculine); vidwAn = scholor; dhArmikaH = religious, pious; jAtena
= born; putreNa = from the son; kaH = what; arthaH = purpose(literally it
means 'meaninig'. Circumstantailly it means 'use of')
tAtparyaH:
What could be done with a cow who does not give milk and is barren. Similarly,
what's the use of the birth of a son who is neither educated(scholor) nor
religious.

PS: Can anybody pls look into the ??? marks in my postings. These have some
grammatical interpretations which I am not aware of. If any one can throw some
light upon them and post them to the list, it would definitely enrich the
understanding of the language. Hope this suggestion is taken constructively.
