Dear friend:

Indira Gandhi National Centre for the Arts has a website
devoted to several multimedia projects. They have some
fantastic clips on geeta govinda. There are several ashtapadis
sung and danced in various styles. This is the first time I
am able to hear these in the Hindustani style. Also the
dances are in the Odissi, Manipuri, Kuchipudi or Bharatanatyam,
Kathakali styles. The same song interpreted in different styles
is a veritable treat to the eyes and ears. The following
ashtapadis are mainly used: lalita-lavaMga-lataa...,
dheera-sameerae-yamuna-teerae..., haririha-mugdha...,
yahi-maadhava-yahi-kaeSava... It takes more than two
full hours to view and hear. For slow connections, better
download.

yours sincerely, J K Mohana Rao
[an eternal inspiration seeker from geeta govinda]
