1. Peremptory: "Must be(just now)" bhavatu (loT only)
2. Less peremptory, polite etc.: "should be/may be"
bhavet/bhavatu (vidhiliN^/loT)
3. Blessing: "May be(as a blessing)" bhUyAt/bhavatu
(AshIrliN^/loT)

You can resolve the meaning by reference to context.
Angry/firm/supplicating/benedictive tone of voice by
ear, or the context of the story (surrounding words)
while reading.
